Infant Program

4 weeks to 12 months

Teachers work with each child in a series of stimulating activities that incorporate the natural routines of feeding and play. The teacher reinforces the infants’ development without disrupting their daily schedule. Your child will learn to grasp toys, vocalize sounds, recognize pictures of familiar objects, and acquire a variety of other skills.

  • Language & Literacy

    Infants begin to understand sounds and words as teachers constantly speak, read, and sing to them. Baby sign language is introduced.

  • Mathematical Thinking

    Teachers help infants understand spatial relationships by experimenting with actions and reactions.

  • Social-Emotional Learning

    Teachers nurture and encourage infants’ developing sense of self.

  • Wellness

    Teachers plan activities and offer toys that help infants develop their mobility, coordination, and fine motor skills.

  • Creative Expression

    Infants learn to create and respond to sounds and are exposed to an array of colors, shapes, and textures.

Toddler Program

1 to 2 years old

Toddlers have many opportunities to physically explore their world inside the classroom and on the playground. Your toddler will begin learning concepts of color and size, build their vocabulary, and explore foundational scientific concepts.

  • Language & Literacy

    Books, songs, and learning experiences help children become comfortable with the language and grow their vocabulary.

  • Mathematical Thinking

    Toddlers begin to recognize shapes, colors, and numbers through toys, books, games, and puzzles.

  • Social-Emotional Learning

    Children start to develop basic self-help skills and begin to socialize by engaging in parallel play.

  • Wellness

    Toddlers make major strides in balance, coordination, and fine motor skills through various active experiences.

  • Creative Expression

    Toddlers sing songs, move to music, and learn self-expression by painting and drawing.

  • Scientific Exploration

    Children experiment with cause and effect, use simple tools to explore the environment, and observe items found in nature.

Beginners Program

2 to 3 years old

The focus of our Beginner program is learning through play as well as meeting those all-important milestones. Beginners will engage in activities such as art, music, movement, story times, Spanish and more. Teachers use the Creative Curriculum when doing lesson plans.

  • Language & Literacy

    Children build vocabulary through conversations and begin to understand simple directions.

  • Mathematical Thinking

    Children begin to explore number sets, experiment with shapes, sort by colors, and build reasoning skills.

  • Social-Emotional Learning

    Beginners gain independence as they learn to verbalize wants and needs. They learn about taking turns and labeling emotions in themselves and others.

  • Wellness

    Children begin to learn to use their hands and eyes together to complete fine motor tasks. Children begin to sustain balance during simple movement activities.

  • Creative Expression

    Children explore instruments, dance to music, and show a preference for familiar songs. Children create multi-sensory art and engage in pretend play.

  • Scientific Exploration

    Children explore animal habitats, use scientific vocabulary, and begin to explore engineering. Children use tools to investigate objects and materials.

  • Citizens of the World

    Children explore similarities and differences between themselves and others and learn Spanish vocabulary for colors, shapes, and greetings.

Preschool Program

Coming Fall 2023

4 to 5 years old

Prepares children for kindergarten as they learn letter-sound relationships and sight-word recognition, and gain an understanding that writing is used to express thoughts and ideas. Children explore concrete mathematical concepts, such as simple addition and subtraction. Our character education program helps develop the strong social and emotional skills that ensure a successful transition to kindergarten.

  • Language & Literacy

    Pre-K students learn letter-sound relationships, sight words, and the use of critical thinking skills to make predictions.

  • Mathematical Thinking

    Children are introduced to addition and subtraction. They experiment with patterns, graphs, reasoning, and problem-solving.

  • Scientific Exploration

    Children use scientific inquiry to participate in experiments. Children use various technology tools and participate in engineering challenges.

  • Creative Expression

    Pre-K students explore artists, identify forms of visual art, and participate in imaginative play related to personal experiences, literature, and interests.

  • Citizens of the World

    Pre-K students understand money is a means of exchange for goods and services. They explore world languages while using maps and globes.

  • Social-Emotional Learning

    Pre-K students learn to express feelings verbally, play cooperatively with friends, and sustain positive relationships. Character education is introduced.

  • Wellness

    Students participate in physical activities that promote gross motor development, including jumping rope and throwing a ball to a target.

VPK

Coming Fall 2023

After School Program

5 to 10 years old

Our After school program offers a variety of activities for extended days. Examples include sports, dance, theater, music instruction, computers, and engineering.

  • Discover

    Students explore the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) through building projects, experiments, and design challenges. Sharing ideas, asking questions, and making predictions are encouraged!

  • Play

    Robust outdoor free play and structured games help students learn sportsmanship and develop their physical strength and endurance. Students learn critical thinking and problem-solving by participating in board games and team challenges with their peers.

  • Create

    Students express themselves by participating in hands-on visual arts, including photography, videography, drawing, and painting. Students develop planning skills by working on long-term projects with their peers and can participate in group performances or discussions.

  • Wonder

    Social and emotional growth is nurtured through student and teacher led activities that promote a feeling of community and belonging. Students learn through open-ended activities that give them a chance to apply problem-solving skills and collaborate with friends.

  • Learn

    Some students appreciate the chance for independent activities or study after a long day at school. We provide a quiet place to work on homework, read, journal, or seek academic support from peers and teachers. Students can also work on various projects in this small group setting.
